Caribbean Toastmasters Spring District Conference St.Maarten.

May16 - May18, 2008
Fun Fact: St. Maarten is the smallest land mass in the world shared by two countries France & Holland
Over the past ten years Toastmasters' conferences have been
held throughout the Caribbean in Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad
and Tobago, Guyana, Curacao and the British Virgin Islands.

2008 marks the tenth biannual Caribbean Toastmasters District
Conference and there is no better way to commemorate this
memorable event than to bring Toastmasters from all over the
Caribbean and the world to St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles,
also known as "The Friendly Island."

The purpose of the district conference is to provide educational
training and leadership opportunities to current and prospec
tive Toastmasters in our district as well as the general public.

The main activities at these conferences include educational
sessions to address the needs of Toastmasters, business meet
ings where Club representatives join together in making deci
sions about the future of the District and speech contests
where the Champion Toastmaster of each territory showcase
their skills.

Being a part of this great event allows endless opportunities for
fellowship among Toastmasters of the region and coveted rec
ognition of your Toastmaster accomplishments in the District.

This newsletter will give a glimpse into the upcoming Spring
Conference in St. Maarten.

Enjoy!
